1. About these terms
These terms apply to every booking made with India Travel Holiday ("we", "us"), Near CID Office, Shimla, Himachal Pradesh 171009. When you confirm a booking or pay an advance, you agree to these terms. Please read them along with the inclusions, exclusions and day-wise plan of your package.
2. Quotes and prices
All prices are per person on double sharing unless your quote says otherwise. Quotes are based on hotel and cab availability at the time they are sent, and can change until your booking is confirmed. Rates may be higher on peak dates, festivals and long weekends.
3. Payments
A 25% advance confirms your hotels and cab. The balance is payable as per your quote, before the trip starts. We accept payments only in these ways: secure online payment links from Razorpay or HDFC SmartGateway (UPI, cards, net banking); UPI by scanning the official India Travel Holiday UPI QR code; and bank transfer to the India Travel Holiday company bank account only. Payment links, the QR code and bank details are shared only from our official number +91 90150 50020 or our official email. Please check the account name before paying. We are not responsible for payments made to any other account, UPI ID or person.
4. Cancellations and refunds
If you cancel, the following charges apply on the total package cost: 30 days or more before travel, full refund; 15 to 29 days before, 50% charges; 7 to 14 days before, 75% charges; less than 7 days before or no-show, no refund. Approved refunds are processed within 7 working days to the original payment method. Cancellations must be sent to us in writing on WhatsApp or email.
5. Changes requested by you
You can ask to change dates, hotels or the route. Changes depend on availability, and any price difference is payable by you. Unused services (a night, a meal, a sightseeing day) are not refundable once the trip has started.
6. Weather, roads and events beyond our control
Mountain travel depends on weather. Snowfall, landslides, road closures, strikes, government orders or similar events can change or delay the plan. In such cases we will offer the nearest suitable alternative. Extra costs caused by these events, such as additional nights, meals or cab charges, are paid by the traveller, as listed under exclusions.
7. What is included and not included
Your package includes only what is written in its inclusions. Unless stated, it does not include airfare or train tickets, lunch and extra meals, Rohtang Pass permit charges, paragliding, ATV and other adventure charges, monument entry tickets, heater, early check-in or late check-out charges, shopping, travel insurance and GST where applicable.
8. Hotels
Rooms are booked in the category confirmed in your quote, on double sharing. Check-in and check-out timings follow each hotel's policy. Hotel rules on ID, guests and conduct apply. Extra beds, room heaters and early or late check-in are charged directly by the hotel unless included.
9. Cab and sightseeing
For Himachal trips the cab starts and ends in Delhi or Chandigarh; for other destinations, pickup and drop are as listed in your package. Train or flight tickets to reach the pickup city are not included, but we can book them for you on request at actual cost. A private cab is provided for the route and sightseeing in your day-wise plan, including driver allowance, toll tax and parking. The cab is not at disposal beyond the plan. Some areas (for example Rohtang Pass or certain snow points) may need local permits or local taxis, which are charged separately.
10. Adventure activities
Activities like paragliding, ATV rides, skiing, zipline and river rafting are run by local operators. They are optional, paid directly to the operator unless included, and taken at your own risk. Please follow the operator's safety instructions.
11. Your responsibilities
Carry a valid government photo ID for every traveller, and any permits needed for your route. Please inform us in advance about medical needs, senior citizens or children travelling with you. You are responsible for your belongings during the trip.
12. Our responsibility
We arrange hotels, cabs and services through trusted partners and act on your behalf with them. We are not liable for loss, injury, delay or damage caused by third parties or events outside our control. Where we are responsible, our liability is limited to the amount you paid us for the affected service.
13. Support during your trip
After booking, we create a WhatsApp group for your trip. Our booking team is available 24x7 in that group for help during the trip. Planning queries before booking are answered between 9 am and 7 pm.
14. Law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of India. Any dispute will be subject to the jurisdiction of courts at Shimla, Himachal Pradesh.
