About Manali trips

Every Manali package on this page includes the hotel, a private cab for the full trip, daily breakfast and dinner, sightseeing and pickup from Delhi or Chandigarh. We run our own hotel in Manali, Vipasha Resort, so we can hold rooms in peak season when most hotels are sold out, and you get a better rate.

Best time to visit Manali

December to February for snow at Solang and Sissu, March to June for pleasant days and the summer rush, and September to November for clear skies and quieter roads. July and August are monsoon months; trips run, but we keep a buffer for landslides.

How to reach Manali

Manali is about 540 km from Delhi (12 to 14 hours by road) and about 310 km from Chandigarh (8 to 9 hours). Most guests take an overnight Volvo from Delhi or fly to Chandigarh, and our cab takes over from there. Bhuntar (Kullu) airport is 50 km away but has few flights.

Places to see in Manali

• Solang Valley: Snow play in winter, paragliding and the ropeway the rest of the year.
• Atal Tunnel and Sissu: The 9 km tunnel under Rohtang Pass opens up Lahaul's waterfall and snow views in a day trip.
• Hadimba Temple: A 16th-century wooden temple inside a cedar forest, a short walk from the Mall Road.
• Old Manali: Cafés, guest houses and the Manu Temple on the far side of the Manalsu stream.
• Kullu and Naggar: Shawl factories, river rafting on the Beas and the Naggar Castle on the way into Manali.
• Vashisht: Hot water springs and a stone temple village above the town.

Good to know: Rohtang Pass needs a daily permit and is closed in winter; most guests now prefer Atal Tunnel and Sissu, which are open for most of the year. Snow-point vehicles from Manali are paid locally, and we tell you the current rate before you book.
